Evening everyone! 😀 Here's one from my recent album with ‪@animevivi‬, Xenoblade Chronicles: Interlude! https://songwhip.com/animevivi2/xenob.... Thank you all so much for all the kind comments and for listening to it!!! It truly means the world to us! ❤️

So now that I've had time to sit with my thoughts on XB3. It's a special game, for sure. It was there for me when I lost a dear friend to cancer a couple months back and was a wreck for weeks. On the day of the funeral, all I could do before and afterwards was play this game, as there was something oddly comforting about these doomed kids having awkward and authentic conversations about life and death and purpose. It's so different from the other XBs in that it's such a slow burn, you go from colony to colony freeing them from tyranny and getting to know a vast number of NPCs each with their own tragic backstory, but that's honestly what I liked the most about it, as you're going around learning what it is to live, connecting with people, and deciding what needs to be valued most. I wasn't as sold on the main story as some of the previous XBs, but the dialogue writing was amazing and all of the cutscenes hit hard. The main cast is also my favorite of all the Xenoblade games, I love Lanz so much I recreated him in XBX lol.

I say all this because XB3 ended up occupying a uniquely weird place in my mind that's hard to explain. I didn't love it as much as the other XBs, but it meant a lot to me, personally. Don't know if that makes any sense, I did really enjoy the game and thought it was a solid Xenoblade title, in many ways more so than XB2, though Jin has my everlasting love and the only reason XB2 ranks just a smidge higher on my XB tier list lol.

The OST is probably the least memorable for me out of all the XB games, but there were some standout themes, such as this one. After I was done playing for the day, Off-Seer was always the theme that stuck around in my head, because it encapsulated everything I felt afterwards--that quiet, somber inevitability. Just really different from the sweeping emotion of the XB1 main theme or the desperate yearning of Elysium in the Blue Sky. Like the other XB main themes, it fit the game perfectly.

Hard to say if I will do any more covers from the main game--possibly from the DLC, whose OST I liked better--but I gotta say the XBX OST is currently ruining it for everyone else hahahaha. I may or may not have started an arrangement of Oblivia night version 😂 Currently stuck on the Chapter 10 boss, just trying to farm credits for better gear. I'm super excited to finally be able to kit my whole party in Skells and also just gained the ability to fly and IT IS LIFE CHANGING ❤️❤️❤️❤️ OMG I LOVE THIS GAME AND OST like even the flying theme goes so hard?!?! Why is this OST so good!?? it's honestly mind boggling lol

OH AND FOR THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT--PODCAST IS HAPPENING!!!!! Israfelcello and I have been hard at work to hopefully bring you something interesting and that we hope you'll enjoy !!!! 😂 😀😀😀😀😀 Details to come shortly! Thank you for all your support and feedback!!!
