About this video: Minecraft 1.21 adds a ton of new things to Minecraft. The main feature of this update is the trial chambers, which have you facing off against different mobs in a dungeon like setup. Each Trial Chamber has multiple spawners and vaults for you to unlock for different rewards.

If you’ve found this video though, I’m guessing you want to know how to download Minecraft 1.21 on your laptop or PC. Well, first things first, if you already have the Minecraft Launcher downloaded and your logged into it, it’s super easy to update to Minecraft 1.21.

All you need to do to play Minecraft 1.21 is click on “Installations” at the top of your Minecraft Launcher. There, you will see a “Latest Release” option. Hover over this, and click “Play”. Minecraft 1.21 will now open.

If you are watching this in the future, and 1.21 isn’t the most recent version, you can also click the “New Installation” button and select Minecraft 1.21 in the versions drop-down. Then, save the version and play Minecraft using that.

Minecraft Bedrock is a bit different. You may need to update via the Microsoft Store or Xbox app in order to update Bedrock Edition to 1.21.

However, I do want to mention that if you don’t have the Minecraft Launcher yet, you will need to download it in order to play Minecraft 1.21. There is a link in the description above that will take you to where you can download the Minecraft Launcher on Minecraft’s official website.

You can also download it from the Microsoft Store and the Xbox App. If you are using Gamepass to play Minecraft, I actually recommend downloading the Minecraft Launcher through the Xbox App.

Once you have the Minecraft Launcher downloaded and installed, open it. You will need to sign into it the first time that you launch it. This is completely normal. After you sign in, you will be able to select Minecraft Java or Bedrock Edition and play the latest release of either version or on Java Edition setup a custom installation for Minecraft 1.21 if it it’s the most recent version.
