James Juke is a producer and student of classic house music. His sound is proudly nostalgic, enmeshed in the early roots of the genre, from disco to jackin’ and garage. After establishing himself in his hometown of San Francisco, Juke moved to Brooklyn, and his profile has risen steadily since. In the past year, he’s remixed Channel Tres and produced for LION BABE—all while keeping a rigorous schedule as a selector, at clubs from Bossa Nova Civic Club to Le Bain and parties including LA’s legendary Ostbahnhof. Within his first two years, he’s already received support from artists such as Disclosure, A-Trak, and Derrick Carter. Though he‘d be thrilled to play Panorama Bar and Primavera Sound one day, he’d give it up for a single night at Paradise Garage.
