Catherine Parr was the sixth and final wife of King Henry VIII of England. She is most famous for being the wife who “survived” the murderous Tudor monarch. However, according to the account of the martyrologist John Foxe, Catherine came very close to being the third of henry’s wives to lose her head. In 1546 Henry VIII's Catholic ministers became suspicious of the Queen's religious beliefs and endeavored to find out whether she was a Heretic or not. And if she was, they would make sure she was punished.
