Well, sorry to state the obvious but the weather continues to disappoint doesn't it?

I put a question mark there but really there was no need it would have been more appropriate to put an exclamation mark.

So what is the choice? Sit at home wishing it was drier, warmer and sunnier....nah. Get togged up and get out.

Actually this ride around the Hope valley though rich in the wet and muddy stuff was definitely warm and we thankfully avoided the worst of Storm Kathleen by heading out early doors.

Anyway.....Enough of the weather....we all know its rubbish!

So this ride took Paul and myself on a decent tour of the trails around Ladybower and Hope Valley. Paul was out of his new bike, a Cotic Solaris in a beautifully vibrant orange, off set with some bright blue SIDs. I managed to get a brief test but only on tarmac. It certainly felt honed and ready to put in the miles , quite the pacey machine.

So familiar territory but every ride is different and each one offers its own unique challenges, and most importantly lots of laughs.
