In the gilded halls of Heaven, where light doth shine with celestial gleam, there once stood Lucifer, fairest of all the seraphim. His wings, wide and proud, shimmered with the hues of the morning star, and his voice, sweet as honeyed dew, sang praises to the Almighty. Yet, pride festered within his heart, a shadow 'neath the radiant glow, for he coveted the throne of the Most High. "Why shouldst thou reign, O Creator?" he mused in secret, his thoughts twisted as the serpent's coil. With a third of Heaven's host, he didst rise in rebellion, his voice now a clarion of defiance. But the Almighty, in wrathful majesty, cast him down, his fall like lightning from the heavens, into the abyss that hath no end.

In the darksome depths of Hell, where naught but despair doth dwell, Lucifer, now Satan, didst awaken upon a throne of torment. The ninth circle, deep and frozen, with icy winds that tear the soul asunder, became his dominion. Bound in chains forged of his own pride, he gazed upwards through the void, where Heaven's light, distant and faint, didst seem but a cruel memory. "O lost estate!" he lamented, his voice echoing through the hollow winds, "Was I not once a bearer of light, a beacon 'mongst the stars?" But now, the light didst mock him, a fading dream that ne'er could be grasped again, for he was fallen, lost to the abyss, where only darkness reigns.

Yet even in his torment, a fire of defiance burned within his breast. "Better to reign in Hell," he muttered, his voice cold as the winds that gnawed at his flesh, "than serve in Heaven's shadow." But as he spake these words, his gaze didst linger still upon the distant glow, a forlorn whisper of what once was. The heavens above, untouched by sorrow, seemed as far removed as the stars from the earth, a reminder of his lost glory and the unending price of pride. And thus, he remained, forever gazing upwards, a fallen star in the depths of night, yearning for the light that once was his, yet forever beyond his reach.
