Almost 4,000 B-29 Superfortress aircraft were built - only two remain in flying condition today. Come along on a flight in DOC and listen to the aircraft commander (Steve Zimmerman) and the flight engineer (Don Obreiter) guide you through the operation of the aircraft. In addition, Josh Wells talks about what it takes to keep a warbird like DOC flying - and about the mission behind it, as well as how you can support that mission.

The flight took place in Mason City, IA in July of 2022, while DOC was on its way to Oshkosh, WI for AirVenture. Some of the interviews were recorded at AirVenture 2022.

Special thanks to Steve Zimmerman, Don Obreiter, Josh Wells, Brett Schauf, and Chuck Taylor for their support in making this video.
