The sport mode feature is designed to provide more steering precision and more aggressive shifting. This mode is useful for driving on twisty roads. ESC, electronic stability control, enhances vehicle stability and can be turned off if the vehicle is stuck in mud, sand, or snow.

[voice over] Your vehicle is equipped with a Sport Mode feature. It is designed to increase steering feedback to the driver with a slight increase in effort and changes the transmission shift schedules for more aggressive shifting. This driving mode is useful while driving on twisty roads where more steering precision is desired.
You can activate or deactivate Sport Mode by pushing the SPORT button on the steering wheel.

Electronic Stability Control, ESC enhances the stability of the vehicle under various driving conditions. It corrects for oversteering or understeering by applying the brake of the appropriate wheels to counteract these conditions.
Whenever the vehicle is started, the ESC system will be turned on and the ESC Activation indicator light will appear and go out after a period of time with the engine running.
If your vehicle is stuck in mud, sand, or snow, you may wish to enter the ESC Full Off mode. Push the Sport Mode button and hold the ESC OFF button for two seconds while the vehicle is stopped with the engine running. After two seconds, a chime will sound and the ESC Off indicator light will illuminate, and the “ESC OFF” message will appear in the instrument cluster.
