My name is Xanthe Wyse.

This was my second attempt at recording, as I rambled on too long with my first attempt.

Recently, I was talking about learning assertiveness skills and I wanted to give summary specifically about learning to advocate for myself with doctors, medical systems etc. Couldn't cover everything in one video but I hope I have given an overviews.

I have communication impairments as part of my disabilities. It's hard for me to speak clearly and to be understood.

I was mute in childhood (sometimes as an adult) and I tend to tangent rapidly which makes it harder for others to follow. Combined with short-term memory issues, it's very hard. Which is one of the reasons I made this channel in the first place, as can actually see some of my impairments when trying to communicate (even harder when directly with others).

I would like to mention that ADHD is ruled out for me, even though it can look similar at times. My main diagnoses are bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Clinicians have concluded that most of my impairment is from a mental injury from trauma (which they said PTSD and bipolar disorder come under).

Clinicians also said I have social anxiety disorder and autism spectrum features. I have very little social interactions as it's too exhausting for me.

I mentioned a book which took years for me to complete:

Pet Purpose: Your Unspoken Voice
https://www.amazon.com/dp/0473572141

I gave the main character the same primary diagnoses, as I wanted to highlight PTSD and bipolar disorder. It's semiautobiographical fiction - mixture of memoir and fiction (fiction by using composite characters etc).
