Autumn has definitely arrived at the allotment plot! I spent the day dodging the rain, and there was a real 'nip' to the air!
My tomatoes are still doing really well in the polytunnel, and I am still harvesting beans, so summer is still hanging on, though!
I wanted to focus my attention today on the asparagus bed, I wanted it clear so that in the next few weeks, I can cut down the ferns and mulch with lots of compost. The first step was to remove the strawberries and give it a good weed! The strawberrys and runners II decided to take to my home garden, where I started a new vegetable garden area with raised beds.
