This German Yellow Jacket (Vespula germanica-anthic) Nest was growing inside my barn wall all season. I was watching the activity throughout the summer, but unfortunately, they were making their way into the barn apartment and sying around the windows, and with guests coming to stay in the apartment, the yellow jackets had to go!

I estimate this SUPERNEST colony had over 10,000 yellow jackets in it! Thats a BOOMING colony!
