If you struggle to get a synth or guitar to sound big and wide, then watch this video. I explain how adding a simple chorus effect or other modulation effects or just panning two tracks left and right is not enough.
Instead, you should build the sound from the ground up, you can try duplicating a track, create some natural chorusing by introducing pitch variations between the two tracks. You can also pan each track and use track delay.
Hopefully my explanation along the way will help solidify the reasons why these techniques work, and from that you'll be able to get the perfect sound :)
