Now this is a Tiki Room on an Epic mid-century Scale! The Caliente Tropics Resort in Palm Springs California! Once known as "The Tropics" when it was a celebrity hangout and family sleepover destination, it was built in the 1960s by Ken Kimes as one of many Tropics Motels in California. Outfitted by Oceanic Arts and containing historic surviving mid century Tiki carvings, not to mention a modern Tiki bar (Rory Snyder's 'The Reef') this is one epic stay! And along the way, we see the Cabazon Pee Wee's big adventure dinosaurs, Julio, and encounter Extraterrestrials!?
