Join me while I hack through some tunes to demo the HeadRush frfr 108 flat response amplified speaker. There are no tone controls except a contour switch. The idea is that your effects pedal provides all the cabinet emulation and amplifier emulations. I'm using the GE 200 by Mooer but most modern effects pedals have cabinet IRs as well as amplifier. The range of tones you can get by experimenting with different cabinet types is mind boggling. I have found that there are 1 or 2 cabinet IRs that I really like and I tend to use them first. This unit has crazy volume. I set the HeadRush volume at the halfway point and the GE 200 was less than half. It's easy to use the effects pedal to go up or down from there.

You won't get much out of this if you are using your iPad or iPhone speakers. Use headphones for the best sound sound fidelity.
