Stories circulating in the community say this building was formerly built during the Dutch colonial era as a villa resting place. After the Dutch colonial period ended, this building belonged to the Jogjakarta Palace and was used as a meeting hall. Another story says this building was also used as a gathering place and discussing students from one of the universities in Jogja.
