On May 8, 2020 RTC had a virtual anniversary celebration to share progress made for the Great American Rail-Trail. RTC revealed funding and mileage updates for the route, as well as momentum for key segments. RTC was joined by Warrior Expeditions, Rails to Trails of Wayne County (Ohio), the Pennsy Greenway (Indiana), Cowboy Trail West (Nebraska), the Old Yellowstone Trail (Montana), the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes (Idaho) and the Olympic Discovery Trail (Washington).
