The kikuyu people also known as Agikuyu, are central Bantu speaking people that mostly inhibit the central region around the Mt.Kenya in Kenya, Africa. Kikuyu’s are known to be very hardworking and business minded, Kabiashara, and kashamba. Cousins to the Embu, Meru, and Kamba people, the Agikuyu have always believed in a supernatural power (God) known as “Ngai”. Traditionally, Kikuyus were categorized by age sets and circumcision was for both male and female but with colonization and spread of Christianity, those practices have long been abandoned by many. The modern gospel and worship presents music, poems, and prophetic words that will sooth and rejuvenate your soul.
