Sewing a 1950s shirtwaist dress pattern with my own personal touch for Lunar (Chinese) New Year. With this pattern I learned how to sew set-in sleeves, how to sew a belt, pleats and qipao or cheongsam-style bodice with a mandarin collar. That was a lot to learn in one go and it was so enjoyable to figure out! Wishing you all happiness and good fortune in the year of the dragon. ❤️
