In this video, I review the brand new Casio Pro Trek PRJ-B001 watch. This is a new watch in Casio’s outdoor focused Pro Trek series of watches. This watch is heavily focused on being lightweight. With the growing popularity of ultralight backpacking, this fits perfectly with someone that wants a lightweight and reliable too. In the typical Casio way, the watch is very well thought out and has tons of useful features. A easy to read dial that has incredible full lume. This is a vast improvement over the CasiOak GA2100 in which the hands are only lumed. This watch also has an easy to read digital display that has the greatly improved Day and Date function at the same time. This is again improved over the GA-B2100 Solar G-Shock that only offers a day or a month / date option on the digital display. This watch also has integrated lugs at 22mm that offers the owner a lot of flexibility when it comes to switching straps. The watch also has a unique locking and unlocking bezel that protects the mode buttons. With the modes, you gets a world time GMT, a timer, a stopwatch, and alarms. This makes this tool an excellent choice for an everyday watch. Adding to that functionality is auto timekeeping that syncs via Bluetooth to the Casio Watches mobile app and Casio’s bulletproof Solar technology. Overall this is an incredibly option from Casio and I am excited to see this model range grow.
