We hooked up with Simon Stokes, our favourite Ableton Live specialist and talked through using Push Standalone to take Ableton Live studio sessions onto the stage.

For performing with an integrated setup using Push Standalone, controllers and external sound sources can work really well.

With the new MPE enabled pads, you can also add expressive playing to into the mix.

With an onboard processor running a version of Live, on board MIDI, USB and Audio interfaces, it allows you to ditch the laptop, or even re-purpose it for visuals.

Simon takes us through a strategy and setup to build your live set. Push Standalone is available now. https://www.ableton.com/en/shop/push/
