A friend of mine recently asked me to build her a trestle dining table and two matching benches for her backyard outdoor area. This design is great for indoor OR outdoor use, but since this particular table was made for use outside, I built it with treated lumber--which has it's own set of challenges.

I assembled this table using pocket holes and screws, BUT one of the key things about outdoor projects is that you need to use exterior grade screws. In my case, I didn't have any exterior pocket hole screws so I used decking screws instead. This also presented some challenged, but all in all, the table and matching benches turned out really nice!
