Just off the Catawba River on the South Carolina side, a bustling piece of property near the birthplace of Fort Mill offers up a chorus of construction traffic by day and laughing children by evening. Based on the latest U.S. Census Bureau estimates the small town's appeal seems to be growing outside of big-city Charlotte.
