I met such an inspiring 94 year old Filipina Lola in Ilocos Norte...

Heading up north for the Tan-ok Festival of Festivals. I found myself not only experiencing an incredible presentation of culture, music, dance, story telling and art... but I had the chance to meet one of the Philippines Living National Treasures. Magdalena Gamayo is an incredible Ilocano Weaver who has been creating Inabel fabrics since she was 15 years old. Yes, 79 years of weaving and dedication towards her local art...

You will see a simple look at what it was like judging this INSPIRING and INCREDIBLE Festival in Ilocos Norte! It was WORLD CLASS! Twenty two amazing performances, and such a beautiful atmosphere! I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of it!
