In this video I make pen holders from old air cooled cylinders.
MORE PROJECT AND TIPS: http://makebuildmodify.com/
About a year before this video I salvaged an old generator from a communications tower. After closer inspection I decided that it would be more valuable to me as an educational tool. So I dismantled it and learned a little more about internal combustion engines.
I kept a few of the more interesting looking parts for projects down the road. This pen and pencil holder idea was one of the ideas that were bumping around in the back of my head. I just picked up a sandblaster and it gave me a reason to do this project.
