Redone to a better finish

Please hit like if you think it's any good . I've waited over 30 years to find one with no luck, so here goes...

This is a reconstruction I've assembled using the original individual stem tracks which inly recently became available. I've played with the levels, added reverb here and there etc to attempt to put together as close an instrumental version as possible to the original song.

Software: Audacity

Some tiny snippets from the original had to be added, where the stem tracks were missing. Reverb is always a minefield of trial and error, eg the 'orchestra stab' track.

Check out the assembled tracks without filters here:    • INSTRUMENTAL Pet Shop Boys It s A Sin...  .

The closest instrumental out there so far is where people have used a program to remove the vocal track. The downside to that process is the resulting loss of some of the peripheral frequencies, and some of the audio gets phased out or distorted.

This version has never had the the vocal tracks added, so the result is a lot cleaner. I hope you enjoy!

ADDITIONAL / FINER DETAILS:

I can confirm that there were some individual tracks missing from the collection of stems, as follows:

1. Tom Drums: descending just before 'Everything I've ever done' phrases - missing. Also missing brief Tom during/ after the final 'everywhere I'm going to', on the off-beat. I copied/pasted these from the original song.

2. Cymbal crashes: just after the Tom Drums, hit on 'Everything' - are missing, sp I copied and pasted ones from elsewhere on the track

3. Hi Hat - missing throughout. The only hi hat track is an open/close quaver beat, not the syncopated 'badah bah-bah', using two semi quavers and two quavers, to create that pleasing yet elusive to pin down combination of sounds with the tambourine. possibly the main thing which spoils the final effect here.

4. Bass drum: for the four opening stabs right at the start are missing - I pasted the original song's opening over these tracks

5. Mid-strings playing a Middle C for the same four opening stabs are missing - as above

6. The DX1 Seq track is the 'dum- duduh dum- duduh' bass line with a crotchet and two semi quavers. This was fine until the final verse after the middle 8, where it suddenly became the club mix jazzy organ riff. I had to copy and paste the riff for the final verseinto the ending.

*If those missing stems are out there if would make it possible to reassemble this song completely
