4 Trains Speed Past The Railroad Crossing On Main Street In Small Town America With A Red Caboose On The Siding. Norfolk Southern Mixed Freights In Wilmore, Kentucky Near Lexington. Some Of The Trains Are With DPU Locomotives & Includes A Train With DPU On The Giant High Bridge Railroad Bridge. Weird Freight Car At 4:56, Close Look At Rail & I Found An Air BNB With A View Of The Railroad.
Wilmore, Kentucky is a small college town just south west of Lexington. The railroad has a crossing downtown with a caboose that is on display at the end of a siding. I rode here with Scott, 1960gambit and Joey, AdventureswithJoeyBoats. We got 4 Norfolk Southern trains passing through. The best radio frequency for NS here is 160.515 and I recommend using 452,9375 for EOT.
We went to High Bridge, Kentucky first and then came to Wilmore. The last train in this video is a big auto racks train with a DPU shoving the rear going over High Bridge which is 308 feet above the Kentucky River.
I show a close up of the rail with the date that it was rolled, we see a flange greaser up close and there is an interesting red railroad car with hydraulics on it at about 4:56 in the video. What is that car used for? I also found an entire railroad car coupler assembly laying next to the road and railroad tracks. We see that up close and it includes the pin. I wonder why this was laying by the track and road.
