Tarawangsa is a type of folk art in West Java.
This musical instrument is played by means of strings which are two strings made of steel or iron wire.
This show is being held in Rancakalong Village, Rancakalong District, Sumedang Regency, West Java, Indonesia.
The agrarian Rancakolong community, like agricultural communities in various regions in Indonesia, have a way to respect God and nature for an abundance of agricultural products, one of which is the Ngalaksa ceremony.
Ngalaksa ceremony is a ceremony related to fertility rituals and as a means of honoring the goddess Sri as the goddess Pohaci or Mother of the rice accompanied by tarawangsa and kecapi music for seven days and seven nights.
