Ladakh MP Mohammad Hanifa Jan has raised the issue of lack of residential land in Kargil. Talking to News18, Hanifa Jan said that Kargil is a very congested city which can be expanded due to the nearby Pluto. There is also a traffic issue. It was decided in 1990 to give this land as residential land and in return, the Kargil administration gave land to the Army, but till now this land has not been available. We had raised this matter in front of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, on which he has asked to take action after considering and gathering information.
