"CREADOR DE UN ESTILO" is RUBEN VELA'S fourth album released by FALCON RECORDS of Mission, TX. in 1964. I believe this was his last album recorded for Falcon Records which he had been recording for since his start in the mid 1950's. Like his previous album "VOL. III", this LP consists of 6 songs and 6 polkas. Some polkas recorded prior to 1964, when the conjunto didn't even have a bass player yet. On vocals, Ruben is backed up by Tony Adame's potent voice. Many people thought Tony Adame sounded a lot like Freddie Gomez, who also started as Ruben Vela's vocalist. There isn't much history available on Tony Adame, other than these treasure recordings. I don't know what ever happened to him after his time with Ruben Vela. If anybody knows anything, please feel free to share in the comment section.
