In 2009, Anggun Cipta Sasmi lent her vocals to an experimental duo called "Amnid", two german producers; Chris Zippel And Florian Richter.
The result is a spellbinding rendition of Lenny Kravitz's 'Stillness of Heart' which sees the chanteuse delving into (and successfully pulling off) a trip-hop sound previously unheard of in her oeuvres. Recalling the slow-burning, after-midnight vibe of Madonna's 1995 cover of Marvin Gaye's 'I Want You' (in which the icon also collaborated with a musical duo, Britain's Massive Attack).
Anggun's take on 'Stillness of Heart' harks back to the down-tempo, sensuous and alluring feel of her 2000 release, Chrysalis. Another song that the duo worked on with Anggun is a cover of Bob Marley's "The Sun is Shining". We hope to see her going down in this direction in the future - perhaps in the next English album?"
