Bering Strait School District Student Broadcasting (Dates and times are subject to change; timing of each event is estimated and dictated by length of individual contests) You are about to watch a Student broadcast using iPads. iPads are not professional cameras with the capability to zoom in, zoom out or track smoothly. Some gyms are large and some are smaller. The smaller the gym the more limitations we face when broadcasting. We only provide the broadcast. We do not put on the event. Sporting events that play music at ANY time, during warm-ups, half-time, time-outs or at the end of the game must be muted in order to avoid being shut down because of copyright laws. To avoid making people dizzy from the movement of the iPad we do not ‘follow the ball’. We try to minimize movement of the iPad including zooming, left/right and up/down movement. For this reason we work with stationary iPads in larger gyms. In smaller gyms, we may be limited to one iPad. In this case we have to film from a corner to minimize movement.
