Makeba and Uzuri are ‘feline’ fine!

Perth Zoo’s skilled vet team got within a whisker of our lioness sisters during a recent routine health check.

In the comfort of their night quarters, the nine-year-olds were put under general anaesthetic while our skilled vet teams examined their body condition, dental health, joint mobility and collected pathology samples for testing.

We’re pleased to say they are in purrrrfect health! A testament to the excellent care their dedicated keepers provide.
