Born in 1999, in Breckenridge Minnesota, Cody grew up in a large family and was the 2nd of 8 children.

As he began high school, he was everything but a NFL caliber lineman. He played for Hankinson High in North Dakota and finished his high school career with 1,072 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns. As a multi sport athlete he was named second team all state in basketball as a senior.

Cody committed to North Dakota State as a preferred walk-on in the TE position

After his true freshman season he moved from TE to the offensive line. By his senior year he went from 220 pounds to over 300.

After having a dominant college career he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2nd round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

From the looks of it he has been learning and developing into a dominant offensive lineman playing right guard.

According to NFL.com his strengths are sustaining blocks on both the first and second level, and has great blitz recognition
