In this video, I discuss some breaking news concerning hedge fund investor Bill Ackman's latest move of shorting US long-term treasuries. In a tweet he posted this morning, Ackman explains his belief that US long-term rates have remained too low in light of structural changes that are likely to lead to higher levels of inflation. His thesis is based on the inflation pressure, supply-demand issues, and the immense amount of debt being issued by the US government and other countries like China trying to financially decouple from the US.
