I finally get around to changing the gear oil in the Farmall Super A. It don't look good. The worst sludge/water mix I have ever seen came out. There wasn't even a half a quart of that junk in the system. So, I take some diesel and try to flush out the system a little bit. After driving it around for five minutes, I drain the fluid. The diesel that went in clear, with a slight blue tint, came out rusty, dirt brown. I was contemplating doing the flush again, but I don't have the diesel to waste at the moment. I put 85W-140 gear lube in the transmission for two reasons. No.1 It is an older tractor and more likely to leak. No.2 I am hoping the thicker, and existent, oil will quiet down the transmission howl. Hope y'all enjoy the video and get something out of it. Have A Blessed Day!
