Konnichiwa! Many of you have asked me how to clean your shinobue flutes, so I have created this video. The shortest answer is, "You don't really need to clean the inside of shinobue tubes". Most people do not clean them often, and some even oppose cleaning inside the shinobue tube. In this video, I have put together what I personally do with my shinobues. Please always follow the cleaning direction from the shinobue maker, manufacturer, or seller if you've got one. At this end of the day, it is your shinobue, and the cleaning method would depend upon the environment it is in, frequency of use, etc, so use common sense and do what you are comfortable with! :D
