Ah yes, SEED Freedom was really made just for the SEED fans, as we now have god mode in the Cosmic Era besides Kira Yamato's nickname. That divinity has arrived our collections in the form of the HG Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, but does it really live up to the hype? I can tell you one thing, it's for sure no Gundam Calibarn, and once you get into it, what it really is at its core is the HGCE Strike Freedom redesigned to incorporate the SEED Action System, with a new backpack and sword. Otherwise, you're not getting much new out of it, aside from some dodgy engineering and a gold that falls short of the pretentious marketing. However, the striking OOB visuals and fully functional gimmicks, not to mention the double-textured sword, are all definitely winners for me, and it's recommendable as a standard model kit. Factor the hype in though, and it might seem to fall short.
