All models in the AND Weighing EK-j, EW-i and EK-i come standard with an 120V AC Adapter. So you'll need to plug the scale into a power receptacle. What happens if you need to operate the scale and there is no electrical outlet available?

Well there is an answer to your dilemma and that requires you to purchase the optional EKW-09i rechargeable battery pack. When fully charged you'll have approximately 9 hours of scale operating time.

To install the EKW-09i rechargeable battery pack remove the large cover on the rear of the scale by pressing in slightly and lowering the cover down. Now just slide the battery pack into the slot and secure with the supplied screws. The balance can be used continuously for about 9 hours using the battery pack.

The EKW-09i rechargeable battery pack works with the following digital scales - EK-610J, EK-6100J, EK-120i, EK-200i, EK-300i, EK-410i, EK-610i, EK-600i, EK-1200i, EK-2000i, EK-3000i, EK-4100i, EK-6100i, EK-6000i, EK-12Ki, EW-150i, EW-1500i, and EW-12Ki.
