My garden wheelie bin had three bad splits in it, so needed replacing - and they are not cheap! I thought I'd have a go at mending the damage by melting the plastic with a soldering iron and it seemed to work. After repairing two of the splits I decided to make a video of the third repair to share this with everyone else as my internet searches for mending wheelie bins had brought up nothing more than "glue doesn't work" and "tape it up with gaffer tape". There will no doubt be plastic welding experts out there who say that I didn't do this the right way - fair enough, I'm no engineer! ... but the bin seems very solid, is now in use and has not come apart yet!
