Are your skirting boards yellowing? It’s likely because they’re painted with an oil based paint. To refresh them, and prevent them from ever yellowing again, you’ll need to paint them with water based paint. This can be a gloss, a satin or an eggshell, or even a Matt finish. But to make sure this new water based paint adheres to the existing gloss skirtings, without having to sand them back to bare wood, all you need is Zinsser BIN primer. You can paint with any paint on top within 45 mins so this is a great quick job to do over the weekend!
