I’m incredibly excited to finally put out this festival recap film. Camp Redwoods 2023 was truly one of the most special weekends of my life, and so I wanted to take the time and make sure this film came out right, and that I did my best to create something that captured in video form at least a slice of Navarro’s magic. Like with any creation, capturing it perfectly would be impossible, but I am proud of this film, and I hope it at least inspires some of you to make the trek, join us next year, and fully experience this incredible place in person.

I’ve gotta give a huge thank you to the artist’s that took part in this film. The freestyle’s that we jammed together were a blast. What a cool thing! We got to have some cool custom background music. I think I might run with some of our ideas and make “In the Redwoods’ a full song! Thank you for the support with my original music. Everybody, when I say in the intro that these are some of my favorite artists, I really mean it. Not just because of the powerful art they create, but because they’re all just seriously super solid human beings. The kind of people that you would meet at a party and instantly become friends with. Playing our original music with my band at the campfires was life changing. I always did music for fun, but getting the support and love from all the artists and fans, well it’s given me a new belief to work super hard at this and see what happens. Our band is called Beach Fly, because it’s dope to be looking fly while you’re at the beach! We’ve just been playing live for now, but we plan to produce some tunes soon with @johnnycosmic and @surfergirlmusic and if you would like to follow along, we are @beachflymusic

Without Dan Braun and his team, the festival wouldn’t be the incredible place that it is. Thank you Camp Navarro. Your hospitality is unmatched. We all notice the thought that you put into every single detail. You create an environment conducive to a comfortable, peaceful, joyful, and unforgettable experience.

To everyone that attended, thank you for being there, for being you, and for bringing your energy that made these couple days the incredibly special days that they were. It was so cool to meet some people who were followers of the show. Those interactions mean the world to me. I hope to see everyone next year!
