Step-by-step guide on programming Subaru keyless entry remote key fob. This will work on older generation Subaru Outback, Subaru Legacy, Subaru Forester, Subaru Tribeca. You don't need a scanner or diagnostic tool to do this, just a bit of patience. It might not work the first time you try it, but don't give up.

This keyfob reprogram process might seem a bit overwhelming once you first time see this video, but really it is not. For starters, you will need an 8 digit code which can be found on the back or inside your new Subaru key fob. Once you have the code, follow this procedure:

1. Open and close the door
2. Scroll the key in ignition lock 10 times (as shown in video)
3. Open and close door
4. Enter 8 digit key fob code manually using lock/unlock button on driver door (as shown in the video)
5. Enter the 8 digit code again
6. That's it. You just programmed new key fob to Subaru.
