In this video we teach you how to install a USB C Charging Outlet. With a built in USB wall charging outlet you can charge your phone or other electronic devices using a USB C charging cable.

Installing a USB Wall Outlet gives you the flexibility to both plug in standard a electrical plugs or plug in USB charging cables to charge your phone or electronics. The USB Outlet we install in this video has both a USB A and USB C Wall outlet and 2 plug receptacles. The USB Wall outlet has built in smart charging and can charge devices with up to 5.1 AMP’s to provide fast charging for phones and electronic devices capable of fast charging.

To Install The USB C Outlet:
1. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker to the outlet you will be replacing. Confirm the power is off with a non contact voltage meter, or other appropriate method.
2. Remove the outlet cover plate.
3. Remove the outlet from the junction box by removing the two screws on the device.
4. Take a picture of the existing wiring and remove the existing wiring from the outlet.
5. Wire the existing wires to the new USB wall outlet. Secure the wires to the proper terminals and tighten down.
6. Reinstall the USB Wall Outlet into the existing junction box.
7. Secure the cover plate on to the outlet.
8. With the USB C Wall Outlet Installed and the cover plate secured you can restore power to the USB Outlet by turning the circuit breaker back on.
