I love Guitar Hero, but the game controllers were never cool enough. So @42Pursuit and I made the best controller in the world! Using walnut, maple, and 3D printed parts, we reverse engineered an original X-Box controller into a completely homemade wooden guitar.
Using @Autodesk @adskFusion Fusion, we were able to CNC out the pockets to house the 3D printed modular housing units that held the buttons and controller. I then went over to @BlacktailStudio to cover the wood with a UV cured special finish. We submitted this for the @themakercollab music themed competition build project, and although we didn't win, it has been the best build project I have ever made so far. Collab with @acai28 and @drewisgooden with @imklubb ?
Here is the link to my Thingiverse page if you want the 3D Parts. This took us 2 week to make the files, and another month of me building the guitar, so take your time: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:663...
