Nothing stops a Highwayman!

After a seven-year quest, I finally snagged my dream car: a 1959 Plymouth Fury, which I've lovingly named "Ember." This beauty is the closest real-life counterpart to the Chryslus Motors Highwayman from Fallout 2. As a dedicated Fallout fan, I can’t imagine a cooler project than bringing this iconic car to life. While the game took a few creative liberties with the front bumper and windshield, it’s incredibly exciting to own a vehicle that closely resembles the Highwayman. Unfortunately, Chrysler discontinued their turbine car project, producing only one 1959 Plymouth Turbine Special prototype. While my Highwayman isn’t powered by a nuclear fusion driven turbine that powers an electric drivetrain, I'm going to do my best to make it sound right if nothing else.

In this video, you'll join us as we accept delivery of Ember, attempt to get the engine running (while having no idea what we're doing), sort through the parts she came with, and finally, give her a paint job that I've been trying to finalize on for years. I'm incredibly happy with the progress we make throughout this video.

I have some big plans for this build, and I can’t wait to share the journey with you as it unfolds!

Note: please bear with me as this is my first attempt at editing something like this, and I apologize for any issues with the editing, audio, and video quality. I've learned a lot from this experience, and I hope part two turns out better.
