What's it like being a “Foreigner” Born and Raised in Taiwan ? ‪@hundunashaonian‬
Today I'm very happy to invite Andy to share his story about being born and raised in Taiwan as a Foreigner. Andy’s story is very special to me.I think it may be difficult for ordinary people to imagine that he was born in Taiwan and lived here for 25 years, but his identity will always be a "Foreigner".

If you need to answer repeated questions every day, how come your Mandarin is so good ? Where are you from? Although he can talk about his experiences and feelings now, I believe that the inner suffering he once suffered is not something ordinary people could imagine.

I think everyone knows that Taiwanese treat foreigners super friendly, but Taiwanese people always think of different faces as a "foreigners". If one day in the future, Taiwanese are no longer surprised by foreign faces on the road, and they can treat them equally. Maybe then the real pluralistic society has just begun in Taiwan.
