After riding up through the Cotswolds to Cheltenham to see my son on the Triumph Bonneville T100, I decided to take the advice of one of my "followers" and head out through Apperley and Tirley to the Lower Lode Inn, just south of Tewkesbury on the west bank of the RIver Severn.

Beautiful spot by the river where I enjoyed a pint of Doom Bar and some chilli nuts. This pub is very popular with motorcyclists, apparently, although I was the only one there at 6pm on Saturday evening. Just delightful to sit there and watch the river and a few boats.

I shall return !
