What materials and tools you will need:
• Rutland Products Dry Mix 211 Refractory Mortar*
• Sanding block
• 80 grit sanding belt
• 1 sanded wood plank cut to the size of a sanding belt
• 1-pint plastic container for mixing
• 2" nylon paintbrush
• 1.5" plastic spatula

Skutt Sairset and Rutland 211 is a refractory coating that is used on Lids to prevent dust from falling into the kiln during firing. This is not glue and should be applied in a thin layer to seal the brick surface.
