After air, water is the most essential element for life. Climate change is impacting weather patterns with more, heavy rainstorms and longer hot dry periods exposing us to both flooding and drought. How we manage our water and especially our urban water is a major challenge. We need to consider natural flood management upstream to avoid downstream (urban) flooding, and we need to focus on sustainable drainage systems (greenblue infrastructure) to manage urban surface water. In this seminar we present new TDAG guidance, First steps in Urban Water, and have presentations on Natural Flow Management and Sustainable Urban Drainage.
