Vice Presidential candidates Tim Walz (D) and J.D. Vance (R) met on the debate stage in the final weeks of the 2024 election cycle arguing why their running mates should become President.

The debate had an overall calmer tone but remained one of the last chances for voters to see who they would cast their ballot for in November in an already close election between Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Donald Trump.

Hours after the debate, 7News sat down with Peter Loge, an associate professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University to see what lies ahead now for both parties.
